Yep. It now exists!

I am happy to announce my third chart, this one for the Intro Diet of the Gut and Psychology Syndrome, the healing protocol developed by Dr. Natasha Campbell-McBride. This way of eating heals the symptoms caused by a leaky gut. Symptoms include: Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADD, ADHD, dyslexia, dyspraxia, depression, schizophrenia…and many more!

Why did I develop another chart, you ask? Because I love charts. (Really, I do.) I love how I can take a lot of information and put it in one place, and make it easy to understand. (Check out my other charts on how to properly soak and cook Grains and Beans, and…one on First Foods for Babies!)

I am also a teacher to the core of my being. I love to share information. I love to educate. Most of all,  I love to give people tools to help them to heal themselves.

I developed this particular chart because I believe in the healing capabilities of the Gut and Psychology SyndromeTM protocol.

Why now? Because I keep meeting people, hearing stories, and working with clients to implement the GAPS diet that are very confused. Confused about what to do when, (what to cook and when to eat it…and how to move from stage to stage).  So, I took matters into my own hands, and created this chart.

As I mentioned earlier, it is easy to follow, contains all the information you need, and is pleasing to the eye. My hope is that it will assist many people on their journey back to the innate health and well-being that is their birthright. The chart is available now, on my website, as a download.

  1. I’ve read some of the book and have implemented some basic changes to my diet. I really get confused between what is and ins’t allowed – getting other diets confused, I think! I’m hoping the chart will give me confidence to start and complete the diet CORRECTLY! I am hoping to heal my gut and be able to reintroduce a few foods like almonds and eggs that I am currently struggling with!

  2. I’ve struggled with illness, later identified as several autoimmune issues (chronic fatigue, thyroid issues, psoriasis). I’ve learned that my gut controls my health and identified many food sensitivities (which seem to change). I’m a bit familiar with GAPS and would love to take a class with you, but finances have not allowed. I’ve made the oxtail soup recipe from your site and loved it. I would be very happy to be the recipient of a GAPS Intro Diet Chart!

    I have read the following books cover to cover: GAPS (twice), GAPS Guide, Nourishing Traditions, Alcamo’s Microbes and Society, and The Paleo Approach. I am 2/3 way through GAPS Guide 2nd ed. I have collected over 1,000 GAPS recipes and organized them by stage (1-6 and Full GAPS) and collected over 150 pages of notes from these books and various other websites and anecdotal reports. I have been through GAPS Intro more than once. It relieved many of my symptoms, however I now suspect that I also react to nightshades and FODMAPS, so I am planning to do GAPS Intro over again starting Sept. 1 with these additional autoimmune protocol (AIP) exclusions. Some controversies I encountered in my research were over what foods to introduce when, why, and how (such as vegetables, based on fiber content). I am hoping the chart would clear up the last loose ends to those questions. While I think The Paleo Approach adds essential information to the discussion of natural healing, I am not ready to ditch GAPS and embrace only the AIP, as I believe the exclusion of fruit, honey, and starches during the first stages of Intro was absolutely necessary for the healing I experienced (I did not experience relief of symptoms until those foods were excluded). I am curious if anyone has made a comparison chart of GAPS vs. the Paleo AIP. I am tempted to make one myself.
